CHRIST CHURCH MINISTRIES

WOMEN'S

MINISTRIES

A Women's Retreat Can Help Build a Deeper Relationship with God. Women of all ages and stages need some time away from the routine hustle and busyness that comes with our modern culture.

A hometown retreat has been the affordable and practical choice for the last two years when we hosted Lavish Love (2016) and Seasons in Bloom (2017).

Stay tuned for another dynamic event in the coming year.

For more information on Women's Retreats at Christ Church, please email the Church Office or call 772.562.8670.

The Daughters of the Holy Cross Follow a Lifetime of Prayer and Service.

The Daughters of the Holy Cross is an Order, not merely an organization, requiring members to take solemn, life-long vows to follow a Rule of Prayer and a Rule of Service.

This group of women have committed their lives to the work and service of our Lord, Jesus Christ and they pray daily for our church, its clergy, the Order, and others in need. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they share the gospel message through word and deed and find encouragement and strength in the community of their sisters.

Daughters of the Holy Cross meetings are held on various Saturdays and include a luncheon.  For more information on Daughters of the Holy Cross at Christ Church, please email the Church Office or call 772.562.8670.

We care about you and what you're going through, so don't be surprised if there are 15 new faces in the audience at your football games, dance recitals and/or theatre performances. All teenagers are welcome into our family at Christ Church regardless of what you believe, if you go to church, and where you go to school.

Throughout the year, we have cookouts, beach days and theme parties. We go on retreats and mission trips, help in the community, and are always up for whatever fun things are happening.

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S

MINISTRIES

Prayer Teams Provide Help in Times of Great Need.  We believe God is about the business of healing His people in body, soul, and spirit so that we each can find our destiny in Him. Whether one’s situation seems desperate or trivial, we believe God is interested in our asking for His help and guidance in every matter and that He uses our difficulties as opportunities for us to develop trust and to overcome hindrances in our spiritual lives.

Prayer Intercessor Team members are available after each Sunday service to assist all who seek prayer for any reason. We maintain vows of confidentiality and follow the Holy Spirit’s lead as we seek the Lord’s will for each need.

Prayer Warriors are a group of people dedicated to praying individually throughout the week for needs submitted to the Prayer List for ongoing and emergency prayer concerns.

MUSIC

MINISTRY

Praise Band

The Christ Church Band is a dedicated team of instrumentalists who joyfully offer their time and talents to the Lord during our Sunday morning service.

The band consists of several instruments (including guitars), drums and a percussionist. They play a wide range of music, mostly contemporary praise and worship songs, seasoned with a selection of world music and classic hymnody.

The band eagerly welcomes new members who are proficient in their instrument and are able to commit to one Thursday rehearsal at 5.15 p.m. and two and a half hours on Sunday morning. If you are interested, please call or speak with Brady Johnson or with one of the band members.

Adult Choir

The Christ Church Choir is a 20-voice ensemble, singing to the glory of God and to support the Sunday morning service. In addition, the Choir performs one choral anthem drawn from the vast repertory of Christian music, ancient and contemporary. The Choir occasionally participates in community choral events and has given two concerts since the founding of Christ Church. During the school year, rehearsal is held on Wednesday evenings, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and briefly before the Sunday service. While the reading of a music score is very helpful, the main requirements for a singer is to be able to carry a tune, blend with the other singers and to have a receptive and willing heart to serve the Lord.

If you are interested in joining the Choir or Band please contact, Brady Johnson, choirmaster and organist, or speak with a member. Brady can be reached  at 772.562.8670 or email Christ Church.
