CHRIST CHURCH OUTREACH

Christ Church is committed to giving 10% of its total yearly income to outreach - Local, State / National and International. The Outreach Committee has the mission to use the gifts of the members of Christ Church to reach out into the community and the world to be the body of Christ, serving the needs of our brothers and sisters (I Chronicles 29:14, 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, 9:6-8).

LOCAL OUTREACH

 

Christ Church Angel Tree. Each year funds are used to purchase Christmas gifts for the children of our sister church, Church of God by Faith.

Care Net Pregnancy Center (CNPC) of Indian River County. CNPC is a Christ-centered ministry that builds upon the biblical principles of the sanctity of human life, sexual purity, and adoption. Christ Church funds have assisted with the hiring and training of a staff person to develop an abstinence program for young people.

 

Church of God By Faith. Funds were provided to help with Pastor Charlie Jones' commitment and dedication to his ministry.

 

Gifford Youth Little League. Assistance was provided to this local organization to purchase equipment.

GriefShare. Funds were provided to with the purchase of materials for the new curriculum offered at Christ Church.

Indian River Habitat for Humanity. Funds were provided to assist with a neighborhood clean-up program.

Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. Funds have assisted a coordinator who meets with students and assists with programs on the four campuses of Indian River State College. It will also allow students to attend a state-wide conference in Orlando.

 

Life for Youth Camp. Funds provided were used to purchase five paddle boards for recreation at the camp.

Teen Challenge. Funds were approved to assist with scholarships.

 

The Source. Funds were provided to assist with their operating budget.

Turkey Project. A fund drive was held to collect food for the Salvation Army and the Church of God by Faith at Thanksgiving. Christ Church funds also assisted to buy turkeys for each organization.

LOCAL

INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH

 

Alongside Ministries. Funding was provided to renew existing congregations and plant new ones in Eastern France.

Barnabas Fund. Funds were provided to assist with feeding Christian families being terrorized in Iraq.

Christian Rural Ministry - Uganda. Money was used to fund a training program in Uganda to teach the Christian Faith.

 

Operation Christmas Child. Our parishioners and children of the church fill shoe boxes for underprivileged children from around the world. Christ Church funds assist with postage to have them sent.

 

Safe Refuge International.  Funds assist with maintenance of housing for 18 women and children, plus vehicles. It also provides food and clothing to residents and basic education toward job placement.

 

SAMS - Bryan and Shakila Pyle. Missionaries were funded to help grow the parish of St. Simon the Fisherman in pursuit of reaching people of Mauritius with the Gospel, and to assist with their physical needs.

 

The Way Home. Funds for the building of homes for destitute grandparents who are raising grand or great grandchildren in Junja, Uganda.

 

 

STATE | NATIONAL OUTREACH

Trinity School for Ministry is an evangelical seminary in the Anglican tradition forming Christian leaders for mission. Christ Church sponsors a scholarship for a student from an Anglican Church from North America, to assist with tuition.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES


Aside from financially supporting organizations, Christ Church provides hands-on volunteer support to many organizations in our Vero Beach community, as well as occasional international mission trips. Please contact the church office for additional information on volunteering.
